MOLSA is responsible for regulating and monitoring the labor market in the Kurdistan Region, providing social welfare for citizens on low incomes and those with special needs, and supporting and supervising nurseries and other charitable organisations.

3- Reforming private prisons and shelters
4- Providing social welfare for workers
5- Promoting awareness of professional work culture
6- Looking after the relatives of Anfal and the martyrs of chemical shelling, providing them with the necessary social and psychological care
7- Granting permits to open nurseries and charitable institutions and supervising them according to their circumstances
8- Regulating the labor market to preserve the rights of local workers and to propose necessary laws and legal solutions
