Justice Network for Prisoners (JNP)

JNP was established in 2007 as a leading umbrella organization dedicated to prisoner advocacy in Iraq. JNP has a membership network of 38 diverse civil society organizations. JNP is committed to upholding human rights standards within the prison and reformatory facilities in Iraq.

Services provided by JNP:
- Spreading a culture of the rights of prisoners and detainees
- Monitoring and documenting violations in places of detention and prisons.
- Providing legal assistance to detainees and prisoners.
- Improving the conditions of detainees and prisoners and achieving prison justice.
- Qualifying and educating the bodies supervising the management of prisons and prisoners.
- Submit proposals to amend Iraqi legislation in accordance with international standards for the treatment of prisoners.
- Monitoring the application of national and international standards in the treatment of women and juveniles inside detention centers and prisons.
